The 2002er Saarburger Rausch Riesling Auslese AP05 is initially restrained and only gradually reveals its beautiful and classic nose of whipped almond cream, chamomile, bergamot, lime tree, orange zest, plum, and a hint of William’s pear. The wine is beautifully well balanced on the suave and exquisitely creamy palate. Its finesse is superb and the finish is all about lightness and precision in a very delicate and smooth herbal freshness. This is still incredibly fresh and still has many years ahead of it.
